Does anyone know where i can purchase the Varis air intake duct that goes on the front bumper? Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance...

How do you cut a hole on the front bumper anyway? I don't suppose you can do it with a butter knife. What's the proper way to do it?

Damn I remember when I bought mine there were'nt that many out there.

 

i dont think anyone is doing it for HP...appearance mod for me at least

 

Actually, a sharp utility knife does the trick just fine. Just line up the template, tape it in place and mark the outline of the hole on the bumper with a dry-erase marker, then cut it out; it's very easy to do. You may need to then trim a bit of the styrefoam support behind there to get the duct to seat properly, then use the supplied self-tapping screws to secure it.

 

confirm, and good seller, and good quality duct. They are the Autotechnik guys, or at least use the Autotechnik duct. My Nismo V1 bumper has already been cut open

Does the duct extend from the bumper opening all the way to the intake tract, or does it fall behind midway? Does anybody have a pic of this sections specifically?

 

It does not go all the way back to the intake. Evo-R makes an add-on duct piece to use with the Varis to accomplish this.

so the replicas are good quality? I had a Varis authentic from the group buy and I sold it, now I am too broke to re-order it..

I think I'm going to go replica but I'm worried about the clear coat turning yellow/fading.
