black "self tapping" screws. They're about .5 inch long. Probably at any local hardware store.

Is there a cleaner-looking alternative? Has anyone tried the double-sticky tape?

you can use double sided tape, but there will still be 4 holes on it. I used 3m tape and screws, to make sure its a little harder for theives to get off.

There is not much room for tape IMO. Just use some rivets. Don't even think about using screws unless you want it stolen.

Do many guys paint the Varis duct?

My 350Z is PPW, and I've held off installing the duct, as I wasn't sure how the black duct would look with that all-white front facia.
