WOW!!!!!!! I would be pisssssed, but she is ur wife and she was "trying" to do you a favor. I must be the first to say that your car (the first two pictures) is SICK, very nicely done. Anyways, I would consider that totalled, reason being because even if you get it fixed, it will never be the same car again....so sorry for ur loss man, keep us updated!!

Don't be so harsh on her for this, she was trying to give you a surprise and it wasn't her plan to get it t-boned by someone else. The insurance should cover it and it seems like just a severe body damage so shouldn't be any mechanical problems after the fix. Good luck.

Heh, this is why i save all my receipts for years. You just never know. At least they'll put it back to stock for you, did you not ever tell your insurance the upgrades you had done to it? Ive been told if you list them, if theyre ever damaged, its still covered.

Since they said they'll cover it......take it to several bodyshops that they will pay for.....until you get the one with the highest estimate. Send that quote to insurance, and receive hefty check. Then search around and find a bodyshop that will fix it for less (and possibly even do better work)....use the difference to buy another ings half kit.
It's worked for several people I know before....because the insurance would only pay for the work to be done this crappy shop, so they got the money and then took it to a better shop which turned out to cost a fair amount less.
Best of luck.
