Default Carbon Fiber Hood

i was just wondering if there is anyhting significant abt any carbon fiber mods tat you do to your car other that it looks good. i no that it is also very lightweght, but anything else then that ? and is it because the hood is a very easy place to mod that many people use the carbon fiber one instead?

It's not really that much lighter. I could hardly tell any difference. It might be due to the type of hood I have though. Any other insights out there?

The hoods are not that much more lighter because most of them (seibon, vis) are not made from dry carbon fiber

if it is not from dry carbon, the weight is ALMOST the same. It is more for look than function.
