Default Hatch delete / MR2 style rear window???

Whats up guys! Sorry if this has been posted before, however i came across this picture on the internet and was curious if anyone knew anything about this Z. especially the rear "hatch delete". Is there a conversion kit out there? I think it looks cool!

Thanks

um, no it is bad enough with the limited view out the rear already, why make it worse. oh, and some park is wanting their bench back as well

plus it looks like a photochop

I agree, the wing looks like crap. However, im going to have to disagree on the visibility issue. I believe it would be the same. when looking through the rear view mirror, you are pretty much looking through that little space anyway.

Yes I think the rear visibility will stay the same.

As far as the hatch itself, I believe it is from Strosek.

It's big bucks. I got a quote from them a while back; I posted it in the thread pertaining to the hatch, along with other pics if you want to hunt it up. They offer it in FG ($$$) and CF ($$$$).

storsek stuff is crazy $$$ you are lookin at no less than $3000 prob for that hatch+glass. Would be cool, but the price + wait time to import here would be crazy just for that little thing. Visibility wouldn't be comprimised tho, so there arent any issues like that. Just a cool mod... however, not $3000 cool to me.

Honestly, after the pricing etc, on the other thread, it seems to me it would be cheaper and easier to have a stock hatch modded by a bodyshop to look like that.

yep, strosek is $$$ and I am not aware of any replica makers of them...and if there are, I'm not aware of a replica Strosek that is well-fit and reliably strong...

it looks like the piece is just a modification of the stock hatch (need better pics to tell, pics on strosek site shows a silver z with a flat black insert)

looks like they removed the rear glass and then just built an enclosure to the rear dash area. It could be done for less then what theyre selling it for.

I wouldnt do it, you loose a ton of trunk space(trunk space is hard to come by as is) and itd be a pita to wash!

Strosek Front and Rear bumpers go for about $900 bucks each. That rear bumper is what dreams are made of! Id love to see a pic of that hatch on a tastefully modded Z, or at least the strosek Z with some decent pics of it.
