Anyone have a CF Rear Hatch
Hey now that I actually bought the Seibon Rear HAtch and have it in my possession...Does any one have any ideas on where to purchase a replacement glass so that I can have 2 functional hatch's? Nissan is selling the glass for $350 (no aftermarket available) and there is a rubber moulding that must also be purchased for $95 also from Nissan. So thats another $450 on top of the cost of the hatch. Damn thats one expensive hatch. Imagine paying $1000 for the hatch, that would be a $1500 proposition. Food for thought.
I need a rear window for my hatch, please help!!!

It doesn't even look like there is anything there...I know some guys spoke of painting the edges to simulate stock glass. But I think I am going to go with stock glass. $300 is the best quote I could find online for stock glass. Besides, I need my rear defroster. Everytime I come out from the gym, all sweaty and steaming, I fog up all my windows. Sound stupid but true. I'm not that paranoid about the weight factor. I got the CF Hatch for the look more than anything. But thanks.

It is wet carbon and uses vacuum infused proccessing. Standard is single sided but you can order as an option double sided. Cheston, my hood is double sided carbon but the hatch is single sided.
OK Here goes nothing. I went head and installed the Hatch. What do you think. Unfortunately the pictures were taken after sunset. It was a lot easier thanI anticipated. Only thing missing is new glass. That comes on Friday.
Now my only problem is why don't the shocks fit under the hatch. Has anyone modifed the brackets that hold the hatch props to fit under. Can you take any pics and post them please. I really want to have the hatch props. I realize that the thing is going to fly up. Maybe I can buy some weaker ones at AutoZone. I need some advice. Anyone experience this before???
Fitment is great. Lines up beautifully. No Problems. Only issue is fitting the stock hatch struts where the OEM used to be. It seems to be just a bit tighter there. The struts touch the underside of the hatch. Not a major. I could probably simply bend the OEM hatch brackets down a bit and modify it to fit, but I'm not the first to install this and certainly won't be the last, so why re-invent the wheel. I'm sure someone on this forum has a fix. Please share.
Are you sure you didnt put the shock mount that bolts on to the hatch upside down? I know my body shop did that when they painted my car and they couldnt figure out what the problem was until they realized they had the bracket on upside down.
