Motorsport Le Mans Spoiler Installed
Best Looking 350z spoiler ever!! I agree totally about the install.
holes are in the wrong place and hit the "subframe" on the deck lid.
Very anoying especially if you drill from the top and then when you lift the decklid notice your hole is behind the subframe and impossible to put the bolts thru. I ended up making the suframe holes larger so i could get the bolts in. Also used tape.

It doesn't sound like it was an insurmountable problem, but when you compare this to another spoiler that doesn't have this problem, it factors in with price and amount of work required to install.
But... I do love the way this spoiler looks.

So the DATONA is smaller and sticks up more while the Lemans is long and more horizontal? When will they be availible in Carbon Silver?

Are instructions availible online? wanna see what im gettin into..
How is the fit to the trunk lid?
I have a Daytona and the "molded in" writing and uneven surface on the underside took quite a bit of work to sand down so it lays nearly flush (looks like the rest will suck down flat once the bolts are in). I should be doing glaze once it warms up a bit, then its off to be painted.
To do over again, I probably would have gotten the Varis Arising 1.

When I dry fitted mine, before paint, it looked like the right side was going to have a little gap. When I bolted it down it was the left side that ended up with a little gap. I should be able to tweek it in but It's been on my car since last Spring and it is so minor that it doesn't bother me that much and I'm kinda **** about things like that. I will try to fix it this Spring though.
Of the 4 bolt holes, only the 2 outside ones line up with factory cutouts on the underside of the hatch. The other 2 bolt holes run smack into the sub frame support crap mentioned above. I'm only using the 2 outside bolts and no problems with it at all.
If I had it to do all over again, I probably would have bought the same Daytona wing I eneded up with or maybe no spoiler at all (ha right). If the le mans flipped up more, I would have got that one but I like how the Daytona flips up. On the other hand I like how the Le mans is a little bigger in size. In the end the flip won me over.
Gawd that last part sounded so freakin' ghey

Well at least I will be done modding for 2007. I don't have any future plans to do any more modding as of now anyway. Pushing 8 grand as it is. That's enough for me.

This is about my most favorite spoiler for the Z. It so closely matches the factory lines and angles but is more pronounced; most importantly, it allows you to keep your rear emblems (which is important to those of us who have replaced our Nissan Burger with satin or black chrome or black pearl "Z" emblems).
It strongly compliments the lines of the Z and looks great without a body kit!
The only thing holding me back from buying one is having to drill holes in my car. I'd like to retain the ability to return it to 100% stock when it is time.
I wonder... does the Daytona (the Le Mann's "cousin") require holes to be drilled as well?

I'm pretty sure that you would have to drill holes for a solid mount. One thing to consider is find a factory spoiler on e-bay and covering the holes with that if you ever take the aftermarket one off. You can get used ones for less than $50.
Hmm... I already have a factory spoiler (I have a Track Model). I just don't like the ideas of drilling holes in anything important. Why would they make it like this?
While this is my favorite spoiler (by far!), I'll get something that uses the factory mounts or just stick with my OEM lip. I just can't bring myself to drill holes in my Z like that.
