Default Grill for INGS+1 kit

I should be getting my INGS kit delivered and installed within the next few weeks and I got to thinking maybe I should look into a grill insert to protect the engine (and intercooler to come) from rocks and the link. Especially since the front is such a large, open design.

I'm not looking to change the appearance of the kit in the least. I think I much prefer actually seeing the intercooler, actually. If I did get a grill, I'd want to paint it black and mount it to the inside of the opening, to where it's not garishly visible.

So I suppose I have a couple of questions...

1) While I know it' s a bit overprotective, is there any real reason to worry about rocks damaging engine parts? Is it worth it just to keep leaves and the like out? In short, is a grill necessary/suggested?

2) I've found customcargrills.com. Does anyone have any personal experience with them or suggestions as to where else I should be looking?

3) Anyone have any snapshots of grill work they've done?

There once was a purveyor of decent plastic grill mesh here - 1ill350z i believe,
maybe someone else. I am also searching high and low for great mesh...

Let's get some more input.

**** cheap ghetto mesh.
