Default Clear Bra after re-paint

I've just had my OEM front bumper re-painted and had the Nismo front lip spoiler and Nismo side skirts installed on my car. I've read that there should be a waiting period, to allow the paint to cure properly, before having the Clear Bra installed. Can anyone tell me how long you need to wait as I'm anxious to get back behind the wheel.

ask your painter how long they recommend. I talked to a hotrod painter/customizer and he said 2 months. Your painter may say something else though.

went the same route couple years back and I was told 4 weeks by the clear bra installer but I waited 6 weeks - didn't enjoy not driving that long but the results were worth the wait.

I just waited two months and am getting mine done today. You want to make sure that your new bumper gets a lot of sun to help the curing process along. I haven't driven my car in almost 4 months now. Can't wait to be back on the road.

Definitely ask your painter... it's him that ultimately decides whether damage will be waranteed.

Generally, 3-4weeks + is what you'll get as an answer... You can glaze to offer some protection, but it'll be gone before you know it.

My Z goes into the paint booth next week. I have been told it will take 30 days for the paint to cure before i can clear bra and wax. This is with glasurit paint. PPG and Dupont times may vary.

I have been without my Z for two months already, I don't know how I am going to make it through one more especially when the Z will be in my garage where I will see it everyday.
