Grille attachment

I am looking to make/buy some sort of mesh grille (not GRILL, man I hate that typo!) for my ings front. How should I attach it? Would two sided 3M tape strong enough?

The cheap grill kits come with wire ties - you know the electrical wire holders made of plastic.
