You can fool it, my worksbell unit works fine. No light issues.

Aspecproducts.com for the resistors and worksbell hub kit. They're standard hub kit comes with resistors. The quick release like I have is one of the best I've seen yet. {not that I'm dissin other kits mind you}.

Don't take this the wrong way, but I must ask...are you trying to turn the wheel with the car off?

No, I am using the Works Bell hub. Here are a few pictures that should clear some things up. As for why it won't turn, I have no clue.

i 've been eyeing a Nardi wheel for a long time.. i thought you couldnt fool it cuz a couple of my friends never got their light to go away.. haha. until i looked into it further.. hm...

i take it the NRG hub is the Splash/Works Bell knock off? looks like the same.

you can free spin the wheel until it clicks into place?

Damn, I can't read! He has a Momo wheel with the Works Bell hub and quick release. I have a Nardi wheel with the Works Bell hub and quick release.

Yes, you can spin the wheel until it locks.

As far as the knock off, I am not sure. If you get a quick release, make sure you get the short hub. Otherwise, the wheel will be too close for comfort.

you're talking to the wrong people then foo

The Works Bell and Splash hubs (same thing) for US spec cars will come with all you need for a pain free install, without the airbag light

They offered a short and long when I ordered mine. The short is for the QR hub, the long is w/out, so they told me.
