Black dots on windshield
What are the black dots on the windshield behind the rear view mirror? Are they for looks? Something to do with the Homelite system? Would they impede function of a radar detector mounted there?

those are there to help diffuse the sunlight from getting into the car. you can find them on pretty much any car out there today. and no, it does nto interfere with a radar detector. but then again, there is no reason to have it up so high in the first place since most radar signals are done close to the ground anyway (aimed at the tires). you would get too many false readings from other interference.
