Anyone else run into a homelink mirror that has rattle problems???

Mine buzzes and rattles when I hit bumps and drive on crappy roads.

I am looking to solve this and just wondered how common a problem it is...

There's a Nissan service bulletin out on this issue (been out for a while). Your local Nissan dealer should be aware of it - it involves using a type of foam tape on the sliding part of the mirror assembly on the windshield glass (covers the mirror electrical wires). The slide assembly gets loose & rattles. Hope this helps.....

 

yep. mine rattles like an SOB. then again my god damn homelink mirror doesnt work the way its supposed to and the dealer swears up and down its working just fine. im about to go down there and open a can

 

You will find that the buzzing can be fixed by taking a small piece of paper and folding it a few times and shimming the plug that goes into the back of the mirror. This was a very common problem with early '03s. Don't know about later models.

Play around with the paper trick. I fixed mine in '03 this way after the TSB failed to resolve the problem.
