Looks are a matter of opinion 100% of the time. It really wouldn't look good with the style of shifter the Z has. For that you need a skinny shifter to look right. You would also have to get one made to fit the circular hole for the shift boot.

Just so you know....i came up with this idea while working @ AAM and after hours of R&D that sytle of shifter gate just wouldn't cut it with teh overlap we have in our shift pattern....basically unlike ferri transmissions or gate slides and does not have enough play in neutral to make it over to the slotted gates for a shift plate such as that....the only aftermarket style gate you can have built would resemble the Volvo S60 where one plate slides over another hiding the shift pattern.....

Also wouldn't work because the trans shifts under acceleration in relation to the body of the car due to the torque and rubber motor mounts. I bet the Ferrari shifters arn't mounted straight to the trans like ours...
