Default A/C - climate control question...

Hey everyone..Just picked up my 04.5 Z and lovin it!!!..Got a question about the climate control though..When I turn the blower motor completely off and then turn it back on, the a/c comes on automatically every time ...I understand that the a/c comes on automatically with the defrost and what not, but even if say you have the air vent **** on feet/chest, the a/c will still come back on automatically once the blower motor swith is turned off and then back on again....I dont have an owners manual to look through so Id figure Id ask around the boards for some help....The system operates normal other than this...Can anyone confirm that its supposed to be like that??? Thanks in advance!!

Mine does the same, pretty sure they all do. Just a default setting no big deal though. AC should always be off along with the traction control!! Delaware huh? not far away.

Ok good question, I just asked the dealer a few days ago this question. The mech. said Nissan had a problem for years with the windows fogging up so now by default they have the condenser (i think thats what it is) turn on to avoid severe window fogging. In other words it's designed that way nothing to worry about.

I'm not a native but I learned quickly its not the first state, its the "ME FIRST STATE."

It's one of my pet peeves commuting, if you don't tailgate, 10 people jump in front of you. Speed limit 65, highspeed lane is 75-85 and slow lane people drive 60. Sigh... why must people do 60'ish in the left lane.

It's fun looking for holes in traffic though. lol

oh yeah, my A/C does it too.

yea it's programed to turn on like that for the above reason, to help remove humidity from the blown air.... drives me nuts, first thing I do when I get in the car after starting it up is shut the AC off.

Yep. It's not turning it "on" that activates it, it's the "auto" setting which you Have to go through to turn it on.

I just leave my blower ALMOST off, which makes it so you don't have to turn the A/C off every time.

Thanks for all the quick replys!!! I must say that I absolutely love this car..I am 27 and have had quite a few "hot rod" cars and must say that overall the Z is the most enjoyable car I have ever owned...Glad I finally got one after being in the market for a few months...Picked up a 04.5 enthusiast with 45k on it for $19,200... Car is clean as a whistle!!! (oh, this is if anyone gives 2 sh#ts btw!! haha)...
