Default 2003 vs 2006 armrest swap

Are these both inter-changeable without any modifications?

I think it is possible. I'm pretty sure that everything from the a/c controls upward is the same.

It might all be possible, you just need to re-route the wire of the hazard light. Thats what I am guessing.

Arrow Armrest swap

Does anyone know if this swap will work. I have an 05 and would love to have the 06 armrest. Much better design. Any help on this old thread would be a great help. Thanks

I don't think this is possible without swapping out the center console also. From what I have seen the entire arm rest mounts into the console at a different location for the 03-05 vs 06+.

LOL a little lubrication never hurts...but seriously why dont you talk to CRAZY Z, I think he's in the process of doing an entire 03 -> 06+ interior swap. I'm sure he's got more insight on this than most of us.

Thanks for your time and effort Fairlady, I'll look him up. If I end up doing the swap, I'll post instructions and pics for those who hate the old armrest. What a stupid design that was. With the navi, I don't even have a place large enough for my phone unless I reach behind me. What came first? The cell phone or the 05 Z?
