u shud leave the eyelids on..i like the way it blends with the hood and gives the front bumper a cool snake like style...from a picture..it looks like a head of a snake..with black lip...

it gives the car a mean look..from the pictures..it looks like one pissed off cobra snake..seriously...!!!

 

Photoshop the center bar in the front grill to PPW while you're at it and see if that makes it flow better.

 

I think the eyelids look good as long as you repaint them to have the color matched a bit better.

 

your headlights look really good with the rest of your car...and the white on the lids doesnt look like it matches your hood in the pictures.....but eitherway...i like the headlights alot so just leave them showing

 

nice and clean ride. I personally like it without the eyelids.

 

Sad part is, the guys who painted the eyelids are the same dudes who painted my new front bumper. They did a great job on the bumper but the eyelids suck *****.

 

I have no photochop skillz whatsoever, but I can definitely try in MS paint.

 

Yeah not saying they did a bad job. I know how difficult it is to match paint, especially ones with metallics or pearls. Just let them know you're unhappy and I'm sure they'd be more than happy to respray.

 

I love the car man....those Rotas look great!!! Perfect offsets too.




I have a ppw as well and always wondered ab eyelids. They look good....but IMO I'd grab a CF hood to flow with the blacked out headlights and the black wheels.....then do CF eyelids.


Looks sweet like it is too.....just another option.

I normally like eyelids, but with the mismatched paint, and the fact that they don't line up with the hood line makes me not like it on your car.

anyone know of the eyelids that actually line up properly with the front line of the hood? if all AUTs are like this, then i know which brand i'm not buying...

 

I saw a Daytona Blue with eyelids that looked just like this but they appeared to line up. I've spent about 6 hours over the last 2 days sifting through this site, trying to find it again.

It looks okay. And in someways it looks like it flows nicely with the line from the balck and white conttrast on the bumper.

BUt, I would prefer to see the whole car with more light to give a better opinion.

By the way, It looks awesome without it! I love how your car looks. I don't love the Nismo sides, cause in my opinion they look like they didn't even realise what the front looks like. I don't get the Nismo kit at all really. The front side and rear look like they all come from three different kits. (Worse, the new rear bumper! Jeeez! What were they thinkin!!!)

I'd prefer to see you put on side skirts that flow better with the front which looks really good already. Maybe INGS N-spec if they aren't too low. Or some other kit that has a nice peice at the bottom that is the same width and height of the peice stickin out at the edge of the bumper.

Here is what my opinion is, from looking at it from a distance I think you should keep them, but if you keep them I think you should do this...

It would look awesome with them, as long as you get the nismo graphics kit, for some reason I think especially the graphics on the hood would make it look really mean, combining with the black wheels,lip, headlights and all of that

But if you didn't want the nismo graphics I would probably leave them for a while but eventually take them off.

I think it looks great and certainly gives more aggresiveness..
IMO, it flows very well with v2 bumper, especially without the carnards.
If you like it, keep it on!!

BTW, we should have an eyelid+v2 club, LOL
