why do you want to black them out so much? honestly looking at the pic of your car, not if you have anything that complements a blackout headlight.

I used gloss black on my last set of headlight (2.5yrs) and they were still good till I sold them.

Well i just started disassembly, God there is a lot to take off to get those damn headlights out. Then once the headlights are out you have to take off all the wires which are a PITA. Very Nervous at this point, but I'm in too deep to turn back. Pray for me! Pics will be up when they are done.

Andrew, good to see you are attempting this. I may do so the next time I remove the bumper to upgrade my CC LEDs.

Looking forward to seeing the end result at the April 7th meet; you're planning on attending right?

It's actually not bad. I took pics of the back before I took them apart. I had trouble remembering how the little clamps go back (for the HID and high beams) so I refered to the pics I took. It helped out a lot.

Update: well the cardboard in the oven is a fire hazard waiting to happen. So i went with a cookie sheet ( just make sure its cool to start) I also tried to smoke out the amber strips, the VHT Nite Shades cracked up. I decided to just spray them black like the housings.

the paint is now drying in the sun.
