Default Rear bumper mod for single exhaust...

So I've been pondering.....for all the owners on here with single exhaust; I've seen the mod where the center piece between the exhaust openings is folded up. It looks awesome....but I was wondering if covering up the second opening would make the rear flow nicer. If any of you see a Accord Coupe 4-cylinder with the single exhaust, try to take a look at the bottom of the bumper. I've noticed that Honda has made all the rear bumpers for the Accord Coupes with dual exhaust openings, but for the single exhaust 4-cylinders, they have a piece that fits over the unused opening. It's an obvious piece that sort've fits there like a Lego piece. Now, imagine, if we did that to our Z's rear bumper. I was just wondering if any single exhaust Z owner has actually done this before. If you have....definately post some pictures! If not, discuss. I would think it's just an issue of filling in the opening with urethrane (sp?) or fiberglass and just sanding it down and painting. I'm no bodywork expert so I'm just pulling that idea out of my ****. It seems almost the same as patching up a broken surfboard. I could be wrong. Discuss

People most likely dont do it b/c it's easier to just fold the center. Its not a bad idea though.

I think it will look weird. I been thinking about this. I think it will be better if you fold the piece and add a valance or something to fill the gap it will be okay.

That looks sweet **** sweet....but I guess I didn't specify. I was thinking along the lines of filling in the exhaust part but with the Nismo rear wings on and a drop. It looks good in my mind, but I guess I would have to physically see it to make a better judgement. HKS Single exhaust + Nismo rear wings + filled in exhaust hole + drop = good maybe? Photoshop?

I''ve talked to mutiple shops of just making the piece, they say it can be done relatively cheap, as well as some vendors on the forum.

If anyone remembers the famous "Micheal Stewarts" 350z, it had a single Hks carbon ti, with the filled exhaust cutout..

Go to imvfilms . com and click on films. The Z vid is on there...

Nice, thanks for the tip. Pretty cool video. That filled in cutout looks awesome. He has the same exact set-up I wanted to do for the rear hahahaha!
