Default replica poor fitment pics

Just picked up my car today and kinda dissappointed with the finished product. I was charged a little bit more due to the poor fitment of the kit. The shop I brought to is a well known shop in Toronto. The spoiler doesn't sit flush on the trunk. There were gap in the front and back of the base of the spoiler. It even rattle when I drove home where the tip of the spoiler hitting agains the car. Here is the link to some of the close up pics I just took.

I don't think the tolerances are THAT bad... from what I see now. The only thing that would **** me off is that the sideskirt is not going underneath the kickplate.

and for the rattling spoiler, do what Toyota did to their Celica at the factory.. use Rubber circles and put them underneath the edges, it'll protect the body from scratches and eliminate the rattles.

Yup! That what I just did. On the way home I stopped by Home Depot and bought those rubber cirlcles and the rattle stops. The worst part is the side panels not long enough to go under the kick plates and it looks really ugly. I don't know what to do with that. I was thinking getting something to cover that up but have no idea what to use. Any ideas is greatly appreciate.

Well you get what you pay for. The fitment isn't bad compared to other replicas i've seen before.

OMG.. i feel for you...

that is just horrible... when i get a chance i will take the same pics of my true nismo kit... it will blow you away, the difference.

for anyone else with the bavaria kit.. do your side sills look like that? that is ridiculous.

also for those of you with this kit, is it not possible to put side markers in? the true nismo kit has the little tabs like the stock one for the quick nuts to attach the sidemarkers...

can someone take a pic of the backside of the replica kit?

whoa.

those looks pretty horrible.

my kit doesnt look anything like that for the sides or the rear.

as for my front. thats another issue. but your front looks fine compared to others out there.

but definately different quality from the first initial fiberglass kit i received from bavaria...

it seems somewhere down in the chain of events.. the manufacturing of the kit changed... the materials are totally different....

Mike is right. you get what you pay for.

It's a shame you can't get a true nismo kit quickly... I've already paid close to 2 grand for the 2 replica's i've purchased..

Who mounted your rear wing? It's supposed to be back further, the back edge of the base of the wing should be right at the break line on the rear deck. Something is really wrong with your wing install.

Another 2 problems i just encountered this morning. Since I added on the spoiler, it added more weight to the hatch and the popper can't pops the hatch up all the way and cause the the hatch to get stuck. Another problem is that now that the hatch weighted more, when I lift the hatch up, It won't stay up there but slowly going down. I was thinking of take oout the weight in the hatch. What do you guys think ? Thanks.

Actually the shop is in Markham called KKT. I didn't negotiate the price with them ( I should ).

Skidazzle: No! I haven't take out the weight yet. Did you take it out from your car? You think I should take it out? Thanks.

What's wrong with those pix? I don't see anything that stands out that looks abnormal! Help out a brother please, I've spent 30 mins studying the pictures and found nothing substantive.
