What are the "following items"?

The hood probably wont fit, but I wouldn't base a $30K+ decision on a $600 hood.

The only way to know for sure is to try it.

which hood? some of the hoods already have trouble fitting on the 03-05 z's without rubbing the strut bar so most likely it will not fit.

I'm sure it wont fit. You can always try. I would

  1. Trade the 05
  2. Get the 07
  3. Do a test fit.
  4. If it doesn't work sell the hood.
  5. Wait for the 07 CF hoods to come out.

sorry about not listing the mods i have so far.... it was a long day.... anyways so far i have the aam plenum spacer, stillen true dual exhaust, pop filter, UR pulleys and ecu reflash along with a oem style carbon fiber hood..... Now my friend is a sales rep at our local dealership here and he is offering me the 07 with 0 miles for 26K as long as i remove all performance upgrade to my 05 Z and trade it in stock.... I know its a good deal (well at least i think so) but i just got the hood and it's kinda sad to be the only one with locally with a carbon fiber hood on a Z and then to get rid of it so soon.... what do you guys think????

im not too positive but trading in your 05 Z and having to pay another 26k on top for a 07 Z doesnt sound like a good deal at all. your 05 Z is worth (trading in value) at least 19k and then them making u pay another 26k on top seems like a bad deal. its like you're about to pay $45k for a 07 Z after trade in.

Even the 06 oem hood barely has any clearance. I doubt the hood will fit. If anyone with an 07 wants to swing by for a fit, let me know

I think what they are doing is selling him the '07 for $26k and giving him about $10k trade in for the '05. This way they make the new one seem like such a good deal!

how much do you owe on your z. if you only owe 10000 then you should be ok. i wouldnt trade if you are upside down on the 05 though. plus 10000 is a sh!tty trade in, you should look up the nada book and get as close to that as you can. they are raping you on your trade, and they are gonna sell the 05 for like 20000 or more depending on what it is worth.

He never said what they are going to give him but that is usually how the car game works when you are dealing with a trade in. They only offered me $1,500 for my Camaro and I told the guy I'd take that as long as I could shove it up his *** after they took it. Then they raised the trade in value and raised the selling price of the car. Finally they lowered the price to what they told me before.
