I had to take the "Z" off to lay down the vinyl. After you remove the strut brace finisher (Silver top with "Z" on it), flip it over and you will see 5 little melted tabs. Grind those flush with a dremel, and the "Z" just pops out. I wiped it with isopropyl really well, sanded with fine grit sandpaper, then applied 5 or six even coats of Duplicolor flat black bumper paint. I used a hair dryer to speed up the drying between the coats. Took maybe 15 mins to paint start to finish. Came out perfect!! I'm thinking of doing my badges too, but i probably wont cause i'm afraid of how they will hold up outside the car in the weather.
