2006 Door Panel Removal Question
Hi - new member here,
I am attempting to take my driver's side door panel off, however, I must be a bit slow as I don't see how it comes off. I have searched and also downloaded the service manual for a 2006 but the manual shows 2003 - 2005 model door panels I guess. For example, on my 2006 there is no plug with a screw in the door handle because the handle goes all the way through.
Would someone have any info on this?
Thanks in Advance!

I like to say that all the doors are the same for the Z(mines an 05). I've took mine off many times but it's been awhile. I think I know what your referring to.
When you open the door handle all the way, behind it (the handle it's self) there should be a plastic piece there about three inches long that goes between the handle and the air vent to remove. Just pop it out with an flathead screw driver. Then there's a small rubber garment that you have to pop out, it looks like a small dumbell. Then there's a screw directly in line with the hole. Be careful with it for it could fall into the door. Try using an magnetic driver. It's not that bad though you can control it pretty good. That's about the best I can tell. Plus you have the other part remove too, but you said that you have the manual so it should be no prob at all. If you need to ask a another ? just PM me with you number and I'll talk you threw it.
Where in Georgia do you live?

I wouldn't mind a few pointers on this. The roadster I have is a late 2006 model and I've not had to work on it until now. I need to refurb the door switch panels as they've become quite scratched up. How do I get them off? There are instructions around referring to the earlier doors - with screws holding the switch panels in place. On mine there are none (that I can find anyway). I expect they just lift off via clips or something but would appreciate any advice before I get stuck in. Cheers..
