Authenic. I bought them from Rickdogg. I'm still not convinced that the parts are that bad. I feel like the body shop just did a really crappy job on installation. What I will do is to sand down the corners a little bit so the skirts would fit in better to begin with. That should reduce the apart of pulling away force between the parts. Then use this black tape that you guys are talking about to glue the parts together.

PS: I could not find the black tapes in the local auto supply stores. I was amazed.... I hate Maryland. Anyones knows a website where I can order online?

Thanks! I guess I have to call them to order.

Would something like this work? Just in case I have to take out my side skirts. This looks like a good solution.

If you go to an autobody supply store and they have grey tape then get it. It will be fine. I promise it's better than the crap at Wal Mart. I do body work for a living and that's what I've always used and what all the supply stores around here stock.

How do you prep the surface though? I understand you have to use rubbing alcohol to clean it. Is there anything else?

That would be it. The crap's real high. If they're nice like my supplier they'll have a roll that they'll cut to a length for you and charge by the foot.

I'm trying to follow this...are you saying that the JP Vizage Type A side skirts are not riveted onto the body? They are held on with tape only?

Hmm.. good point! I should be able to borrow one for the project. I'm just a bit afraid that it's too strong and would damage the side skirts.

They are held on by screws on the 2 sides(in the wheel base). There is no screws in the middle though. Here's a picture that should explain it.

The screws are on the 2 sides.

The middle portion don't fit nicely on the stock side skirts, so you'd need double sided tapes to tape secure them.

Man I feel for ya....that's 'probably' why he sold them.
The Greddy side skirts are rivited onto the body...they replace the OEM sides. For myself...I wouldn't go that route!
Good Luck!

Thanks. So the greddy sides actually replaces the whole OEM sides? Hmm.. I think I'd want something like that. I didn't do my research enough. I didn't know the JP side skirts are add-on to the OEM sides after I purchased them.
