So I've heard 3M Molding Tape is the best you could get. So what I did was using some First Aid rubbing alcohol to rub on the body surface first. Then use the 3M Molding Tape. Then I put the body part together using very firm press for about 2, 3 minutes. But the parts still didn't stick very well together. Did I not do something right? What's the right way to use 3M molding tapes?
3M is good for components that have zero stress or movement and dont weigh alot, also anything that fits perfectly, badges, side molding etc.
If you expect it to hold the top end of your sideskirts or spoilers, forget it. UNLESS it contours PERFECTLY

also depends on what 3M molding tape you are using. If you bought it from a regular parts store or something like that, most likely you got the gray tape which is pretty wimpy.
You need to find a body shop supply store and get the black tape.

Anyone from this MD/NOVA area knows where I can get this magical black 3M tape that we're talking about here? Can I order it online? I am not sure what to search for online. The only thing that I found on google was the grey tape.
