Angry White paint all over my new Z! Help

Ok, i dont know what the hell happened but there is white paint all over the passenger side of my car. I either ran over a can of paint(which I doubt since i never saw or felt such a thing) or I may have drove over a fresh painted white line. But I never drove thru any construction areas. Anyway there is got to be a way for me to get it off. I took it to a detail shop and they want me to leave it over the weekend to work on at $75 a hour.
There has got to be something I can buy and do it myself right?
Please, any help is appreciated!

Doesnt' look good. Id leave it at the detailers. They know what they're doing...

You can try claybar, but since the paint is dry, ur kinda screwed.

Clay bar will take off some of the very small drips . I was spraying my house , car was in the garage and I was spraying the other side of the house . I couldnt believe that paint mist made it around the house and into the garage . A clay bar took it all off

Default My problem with the detailer...

I asked the guy......"If you buff it or do anything to it, will it look nice and shiny like the other side? And the detail manager tells me......"What difference does it make? people can only see one side at a time"
That pissed me off? Shouldnt it have? I mean, what kind of attitude was that? Kinda like, if he f*cks it up then who care no one can see if if the see me coming from the driver side? I know there are tons on detailers around but I have only so far dealt with this place. I always go there to since they do awesome work. Maybe it was just me but he kinda has me worried to taking it there.

Take it to another detail shop. Also, as plumpzz suggested, you can try a clay bar. Then try following up with a non-abrasive polish, and then wax. Hope it turns out okay (btw, looks like it's on your wheels/tires too )

that made me cry. i have a silverstone 06.... :Cries more:

speaking of 06s... anyone else realize our VINs start with z34 not z33.... would that mean the next Z is a z35? we need some 07 owners to chime in and see what their VIN starts with..

If you are uncertain about removing the paint, leave it to a professional.

any experience detail guy can buff that off in less than hour with the right stuff...no sweat. Are you sure that isn't from the salt at salt lake city?

Try the claybar first, then take it to the pros if it doesn't work

Give the claybar a shot first, if you can... Awhile back I went through a construction zone on the freeway- picked up a light paste of concrete that dried to a hard crust before I could do anything- looked just like the damage to your Z, except my Z's black.

Three or four claybar sessions over the next two days and things were OK again, with no visible damage. First time I'd used a claybar- I couldn't believe it worked that well.

Might avoid the body shop- good luck.

like everyone said, try a claybar, they're amazingly good at pulling stuff off the surface. if you have any xp w/ buffing and polishing etc., u could attempt to get buff it off w/ some compound. make sure u know what your doing though...

From the looks of that rear fender it looks like it's time to visit the body shop anyway.

Wax would only make it harder to take it off.

+1 on the clay bar. It will take work, but it will work as long as you dont let the paint sit on there too long.

Stupid mexicans painting my townhouse (in a damn gale force wind no less) splattered paint all over my CF hood. A little clay bar action took it all off. I tried to yell at them, but they pulled the whole "no habla ingles" **** on me.
