Default help with hood pin...

Hey guys, i just got a set of Cusco hood pin....and it look pretty easy to install. However, drilling into my INGS cf hood is a bit scary. Has anyone here that has installed a hood pin before know a good way to drill a hole. Also, how to properly locate a point on the hood to have it line up with the pin underneath.

Anyone here with experience please help....

Ive seen people put the pins in first and then put some toothpaste or something on the top of the pin, then close the hood and it marks where you need to drill. But if your scared to do it have someone who has done it before. wouldnt want you to ruin your hood.

Install the pin on the car where you want it to go. Then just dab on some white-out or touch-up paint or similiar on the top of the pin. Lower the hood for a second to mark the spot. To drill the hole, I'd suggest a high speed tool like a dremel. If you use a standard drill, you could crack the hood since it doesn't spin fast enough.

The marking thing is a good idea....just make sure you make your initial mark...drill through the 1st layer of the hood, then re-dab some additional paint on the tip of the pins then make a 2nd mark on the 2nd layer of the hood then finish drilling through... The hood closes at a angle, so you need to introduce that when you drill...I drilled straight through mine and it ended up to be a dremel and PL nightmare to get it to work...just take your time.
