Where is the picture? As for shops that do it there is only one Z out there that actually has this done and they are out of Oklahoma. Your looking at around $8,000 to get this done. A member was going to get his done a while back but the shop changed its mind wanting more money.

I really, really, really wish Nissan would offer this as a factory option with all the proper reinforcement and such. Damn.

Although targa top is very attractive, my previous experience makes me to stay away from it. i had 95 300zx and t-top was nothing but problems. Squeaks, rainwater leak, and interior getting extremely hot because of glass top doesn't provide much insulation.
BTW, if you get the targa top, would it fit in our trunk?

someone needs to make a sticky about a targa so there aren't posts about one every week or so.

Does he do charity work? He must for that price. I wouldn't touch one for less than $4k, and that would be after doing my own and having an idea of it.

T-tops tend to leak a lot easier than a targa top. You shouldn't have any problems with some good weatherstripping. Heat wouldn't make any difference if you utilized the piece of the roof you cut out, which is how I plan on doing it when I do mine in a few years. And no the solid piece won't fit in the trunk. It would have to be a split design, which I already have in mind too.

The parts cost more than that. No way he does quality work with that price with what is involved.

dude, all he has to do is like cut it, weatherstrip it, make sure the headliner looks clean, paint, and whatever else the job takes. he said it will only take him like 2 weeks at the most, i can even show you pics of the cars that he does, he did my eclpse, rsx, and 350z kits and custom work, he just isnt' wildly overpriced.

I'll cut your roof off for 1 grand... I will also throw in the velcro straps to hold it down!
