Default How much would it cost to ship my hood?

I have a carbon fiber hood from my z that I want to sell. A guy in LA wants me to ship it to him (i'm in houston, tx). How much do you guys think it would cost, and how would I even go about doing it (it won't fit in my z)? I know ups and fedex will pick up; will they package it too? Anybody have any experience with this kind of stuff? Greatly appreciate the help.

When I had a CF hood shipped for my Prelude, it was like $125.

Its not the weight, its the awkward dimensions.

I have plenty of experience shipping...first rule of thumb...dont use DHL or FedEx. Try www.BaxGlobal.com . Thats who I have been using and they do a good job. Expect to pay between 120-160 depending on location, etc.

As far as packaging..gets LOTS and LOTS of bubble wrap. If you still have the boards that came with the hood in the hinge holes, reattatch those. The mose common damage is done to the top corners of the hood. If its a vented hood try to wrap the vents and extra layer of bubble wrap. Good luck to you and your hood...its a disaster shipping such fragile pieces.

Jim

EDIT: MAKE SURE TO GET FULL INSURANCE !
