I'm not talking about the base models...but do the other models all have the same headlight setup from 2003-2007? Or did Nissan change it somewhere in between?

I guess there are only so many ways to wonder nicely what would cause people to ask questions that you'd think they'd obviously know after being on the board for many years?
OP: The '06 bi-xenons were a major change. By mentioning a difference from the base models it implied you were not totally ignorant of the topic. The comment was extremely reasonable.

-Pre '06 have the orange-yellow sidemarker light strip on the outside of the headlight housing and the '06 have small 4 LED lights that show yellow when the lights are on.
-The bi-xenon projector light is more intense and much whiter than prior headlights
-The low beam of the bi-xenon has a definite upper cut-off line such that if you stand in front of the car even in daylight, you can see where there is bright light up to a line, then nothing. For me who drives country roads with fog and deer a problem, I always had fog lights to give me better visibility down low and to the sides. I don't need fogs with the bi-xenon. If they had been only an option, I would have paid $1000 more just to have them....but my typical driving is different than most people's.
-I think the high beams are brighter also(definitely whiter), but not as noticeably different as the low beams are.
-you didn't ask about tail lights but they changed too with the '06 models. They are now LEDs and very distinct at night from the non-LEDs
BTW, I guess you really were out of commission for a couple years. Good to know you are back in one piece. Good luck with the Z. You've been waiting a long time for one and it will be worth it.

On this site, you need to take it all with a grain of salt. The information here is worth it and the guys that posted you are normal, good people. Who would have known that what you asked wasn't that far out givin your unique situation? Everyone has the up and down days. Besides, if you just figured out you had unknowingly spent your time reading a 15 yr old's fake post and trying to help someone who was just trying to get attention, well the next time you read a thread that sounded a little odd you might not find any patience left either. You'll get the hang of it.
