Has anyone put the new style AC controls, or ***** in an older Z ( '03 for instance ) Or does anyone know if this will work? I.E. Plug and play?? Thanks!

I've been working on this couple of months and can not get it to work. I have bought two 06 ac ***** and tried everything to get to work, even resoldier everythig to the old board. Now, I am looking for 06 ac control unit that sits right below the ***** in the center dash (white box). So, I can try some more stuff witht his project...If you know anyone with 06 ac control, send them my way!

I'd say that if you had the a/c box and **** panel that it might just plug in.

 

Yah, it works if you install a new ac controller from 06-07.

 

Is that a guess or have you actually done it?

 

I did it yesterday. I have another thread that talks about all this. "2003 to 2006 interior swap". I am going take some pics later and post.

 

so will the 03 control ***** work w/ an 06 dash??

Why would you want to do this mod??? The pre 2006 ***** look MUCH BETTER IMHO.

 

Yes you would need the upper center console, shifter console, center console, ac *****, and ac controller.

 

Did you try putting the **** section on the 03 console?

 

Yes, doesn't work. 03 ***** base is bigger and will not fit through the holes. I tired everything.

 

So there's really no point in this unless you plan on changing out the entire dash since none of the older stuff matches up to the newer stuff.
