OK....so after reviewing some threads....i kinda got worried about taking mine off. some say that if you try to loosen it, sometimes you may hurt the shaft and screw up transmission? others say it comes of fairly easily. well in my case.....it is very hard to take off so im curious to know if i should keep trying or not? any feedback on this would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

initially 2 loosen it up, its tight. but after u hard turn, it unscrews fairly easy. and it shouldnt mess up ur tranny lol.

 

just make sure you put a vice grip on the shaft under the console so it doesn't twist, you should be fine after that.
