Exclamation Should I file a claim or buy the body kit???

Alright, I have a SB 03 Z and I live in Virginia Beach. I decided to take a week off work from the navy and visit family up in boston. To make a long story short one of my parents backed into my z denting my bumper up and the drivers side quarter panel .

So here are my options:
1. I can make them file a claim on there insurance to fix it but I have to be back in Virginia Beach by Sunday so Im thinking if that is the case maybe the insurance company can set something up down in VA or cut a check.

2. I was planning on buying the widebody buddyclub2 kit for the z from a local guy who has it on his car assuming that its in good condition (already painted SB to match the car) for 750. So if thats the case I can just make them pay for the kit or the install price which I don't know how much would run.

So what would you do in my case? File a claim or buy the kit????

i agree, just say someone hit you, and your insurance will cover the costs, and all you have to pay is the deductable, so just have them pay that. And oh yea, your insurance wont increase. I did that when i scratched my car, just told the insurance company someone did it when i was at work.

Any insurance claim usually goes against you in the long run, thats why companies ask about insurance claims regardless of fault that you have claimed in the past 5 years when you sign up. But if you arent the type who has really ever filed a claim then I say go for it.

Actually if you claim hit & Run, you still have to pay deductible since you dont have ID of who hit you. But your insurance shouldn't increase.

I hope your deductible amount is low. Good luck on it!!!

that kit isn't molded? Plus you'd have to get new wheels for the widebody.
