So I don't get it, if I buy new bulbs it's gonna make me a ricer? If somebody wants to do something to their car, why would you knock them and call them a ricer? I know this has been said 10000 times, but so has "rice" and "worthless mod".
Do people knock you for spending 30 grand on a your Z when you could spend the same on a C5Z and be driving a real sports car?
We obviously spend our money how we want, stop knockin people for buying 10k bulbs, their choice.

typically when people mod a car, they do so to increase the performance level of the car. What guys are saying about the higher kelvin/reduced output happens to be spot on. The higher kelvin bulb diminishes the light output of the car, by a very significant amount. To the point where its dangerous in poor weather (rain, fog). Now, to the guy who wants such bulbs for a car show type of setup, or just for show off purposes, more power to him. Do I think a 5k or 6k kelvin bulb is "rice" - no, I would not go so far at all. Higher than that? Hell yeah that's getting into a very ricey category and becomes downright dangerous (and looks awful to boot)
If you're looking for a bit more contrast, up to a 6k kelving can be used with ease, and still give good performance in the crappy weather if its used in a good lense.
As for getting a C5 vs a Z, not all of us need the Vette

lol true to non vette owners, im sure they will have something to say, but you know what i feel is honestly dangerous? Halogens...I know they didnt make bixenons ealier on, but why would they make hibeams halogens if theyre dimmer than the lowbeams lol.. I know they angled different.
Anyway last night i was going to pick up food at gmas and told my mother i wasnt drivin my Z on her rocky driveway so i took her jeep grand cherokee. Amazing audio!!!! you would think it had 2 10's in it.... i was blown away, had that slight ear tingling you get sometimes from good bass hits. 10k miles on it, lol it gets 13mpg babying it and 19 highway...quiestest v8 ever... i know im off topic lol anyway.
She has auto hibeam feature. They go on when its dark and turn off when a car approaches... it had been 3 months since i had my accord with halogens. Friend kept asking me why i was driving so slow... i was like dude i cant see ****.... highbeams were useless, its hard to beleive cars have halogens after being used to hids.

Lighting threads end up really negative for some reason. Why is this?
Oh yeah, because we can all remember the ricer with his high beams on or his Xenon Glare-beams on blinding us on back roads for no effing reason.
Sense, you cannot give them. Laws and punishment may be doled out without mercy.

You should really consider working on your writing abilities. Skilled writers can choose words that convey the complete message, not just the information.
It's good to see that you don't let us 'internet tough guys' get to you. Just try to be less negative and you won't catch flames.
