Has anyone customize their 350Z to have the Reverse opening Hood like the ones that 280zx-240z have?

 

i was curious about this too.. havent seen it though. I know they sell kits than can do it.

 

It would be pretty difficult. The old 240/260/280 hood pivoted and the front end dropped behind the bumper when you raised the back. You would need some type of scissors mechanism to allow the front of the hood to raise up then pivot the hood forward. My 280 had tons of room under it, not like the sardine-can 350.

 

80's model Buick hinges

That's what all the S-10 guys use to do a suicide hood.

 

Have you seen the 80's model Buick hinges used as hood hinges?

Ive found the Auto Loc website, they sell a universal tilt hood kit.

Not on a 350Z, but I've seen it used on s-10s and a few other vehicles.
