So, I checked the wire to see if it was getting power and it wasnt...so I checked for a fuse and couldnt find one for the headlight(s)... So, does anyone know what might be the problem with my headlight?

wow, i didnt think i would find anyone with the same problem that i have!
Check this out, my headlights were working fine, i didnt have my splash guards installed and every time it would rain, i would get water in my ballast and the headlights wouldnt work. I had to take them out and dry them each time.
After a few months of driving like that, my right headlight went out. I noticed that the wiring harness was rubbing against my wheel and the positive wire for the low beam had ripped. I reconnected it and it worked. After a few days, it stopped working. I checked the connection and it was fine. I checked the headlight/bulb/ballast with the drivers side, and it worked, it was a problem with the wiring, there was no power going to the passenger side lowbeam and i could not locate a fuse. Either way, a fuse would not be the issue because my drivers side was working fine. When i ran a wire from the passenger side to my battery dirrectly, it worked, so the problem lies in the power wire that goes from the right headlight harness, to wherever the hell it goes, ecu?
Let me know if you find out what this could be as i checked everywhere and cannot find out, i think im just going to have to hard wire it.

well, I talked to a guy at the nissan dealership hear and he said that it might be the switch inside the car...only thing is that I dont know if I want to buy a $70 switch when he doesnt know for sure...
Anyone else out there know what it might be?
P.S. and about the fuse thing, some newer cars have a fuse for each bulb instead of one for both

I have a 2004 Base 350Z with a HID upgrade. Only the low beams are HID. The driver's side light stopped turning on a few weeks ago. I haven't had time to bring it in so I've been driving it like that. A few days before I left on a trip the other HID stopped turning on. Now all I have are the regualr Hi Beams. Did anyone find out what this probelm might be? I get back from this trip in a few days, and I'm going to have to go back to the dealership. They say if it's the bulbs its free, if it's a eletrical problem then it's 2 hours to diagnose.

anyone know what I'd need to get if I had the 04 base that got upgraded to HIDs to install the 06s? The 06s have 7 pins and the 04s had only 6 pins. I've searched and the only thing that I came up with is that I'd need to cut the 06s blue cable and connect it to the green/black cable or the signal would be always on.

So, finally got this fixed the other day. There is a Fuse for each headlight. (1 for L low beam, 1 for R low beam, 1 for L hi beam, and 1 for R hi beam) The fuse box is hidden well. It is back and to the left of the battery. You will have to take off all the plastic covers around the battery. Its has a tall plastic cover on it and the diagram for the fuses are on top of it. All i had was a blown fuse... just replaced it and now its fine!
Hope this helps!

I don't know if the original poster will answer you since the thread is 5 years old. Your owner's manual explains how to check fuses so you might take a look at that. Basically, remove each fuse to check if it is blown. If blown, replace with a new fuse. If the new fuse blows, you have a short somewhere. You can also download a service manual online for free if you feel the need to have one.
