Factory Side Skirt/Rocker Panel Replacement
Can anyone tell me exactly what is involved in removing the factory side skirt/rocker panel (same thing? I've seen it called both)?
I damaged mine when I first got my car. The messed up part is under the car and isn't visible, but I just can't live with it! It's a constant reminder of how stupid I am!
Anyway, I can get one for $150 in my paint color. Haven't checked into shipping yet, because first I want to know if this is a do-it yourself kind of thing, or if I'll need to take the car to a professional.
I really want to replace the thing, but I don't want to end up with a worse problem than I already have. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

I changed mine to Nismo style and the originals are really easy to take off and on. If you have splash guards there are to screws on the front edge you must remove that are in the fender well, if not there is one pop-up clip, the rear fender well has a pop-up clip on it. Under the car is a row of 10mm bolts running all the way from front to back (if I remember right its 6 or 7 of them) the rest are pop in clips that come off easy.
The job should take 10-15min and you don't have to jack up the car. When you have the replacement one in hand you can see where the clips are.
The only piece that is kinda strange is a little rubber piece that is at the back of the rocker panel underneath but it is really easy to figure out.
Definitly a Do-it-Yourself job.
