I unplugged the battery, and just took them out. Just make sure you do the mod for the air bag lights, or they will blink all day long

if you're removing the SEAT from the car, and the seat is equipped with a side impact airbag,

first take off both wires to the battery. wait 5 minutes.

then remove the 4 bolts to the seat, flip the seat upside down and unclip the seat belt wire and the clip to the airbag (should be yellow).

then follow the directions here:
https://my350z.com/forum/showpost.ph...9&postcount=12

to disable the airbag light.

if you have an 06.5+ or 07 with the weight sensor in the seat, i suggest you goto the DIY section, there is a thread in there that details the procedure to remove the weight sensor and how to trick it.

if all else failsand you have no idea what the hell i'm talking about, use SEARCH.

I have an 03 base and I was wondering about disconnection that wire attached to the seats that runs under the floor.

It's attached to the seat with these special kinds of zip ties... Do have to cut those or is there a way to remove them without breaking them? It looks like there might be away to remove them without cutting them but I couldn't tell how to do it.
