Default Is there a big difference in CF peices

Can anyone tell me if there really is a big difference between the stock parts vs carbon fiber replacements. For example how much does a stock hood way compared to a cf hood. Also what about the hatch and fenders etc... I would just like to know thanks

well theres different types of carbon fiber. for example, our stock z hood is aluminum and weighs roughly 22 pounds (pretty light as is--> try a 3000gt hood for kicks)
now the cheaper carbon hoods is a fiberglass shell, with the outer wrapped in carbon. weighs about the same as stock, mostly cosmetic.

wet carbon is lighter than stock, but still not as light as it can be. it is mid priced

dry carbon is the lightest most expensive pieces. most good quality companies use dry cf (as in $1000 hoods, etc.) its up to you whether or not your going it for looks or for racetrack purposes or even both. on the street, the 10lbs u'd save on a hood doesnt show, while on the racetrack can make or break your time/goal
