Maybe you could provide some more information. Where is that info in the Owner's Manual? Where is the manual release located?

Look under the rear strut bar. It's a bit to the left of the center (left of the Z). It's held in place by a bit of velcro.

You will also find there 2 additionnal D rings to hang stuff to.

My mistake, I thought for sure they would have had a cable on the inside panel in the hatch area. Hmmmm, Nissan you should know better. Thats like a 5 dollar addition that could make all the difference in the world in the icy climate states.

it doesnt matter if its a hatch or trunk, all cars must have an interior trunk or hatch release for safety reasons. What thread were you reading ???

Nah, it's just that I didn't notice my hatch popping up when it was already openned.

I figured that hatchbacks would be exempt of the requirement, for obvious reasons.

You're confusing different functions. This thread is about the GAS FILLER DOOR and the absence of an emergency cable-pull should the electrical switch malfunction. NISSAN did not provide for an emergency cable in the Coupe or in the Roadster and there is no mention of any emergency procedure in their owner's manual !

Yeah, mcurry5 correct me on that one.

I've had the car over 2 years and always assumed that latch was for the fuel lid. All my previous cars had one.

Wedge-shaped piece of wood and a rubber mallet.

Creditcard's or Drivers License, work wonders on the fuel door as well.
