You will also find there 2 additionnal D rings to hang stuff to.
My mistake, I thought for sure they would have had a cable on the inside panel in the hatch area. Hmmmm, Nissan you should know better. Thats like a 5 dollar addition that could make all the difference in the world in the icy climate states.

I figured that hatchbacks would be exempt of the requirement, for obvious reasons.

I've had the car over 2 years and always assumed that latch was for the fuel lid. All my previous cars had one.

Tried with 2 people, it still won't open. You are right, it is a solenoid. There is nothing in the rear wheel well that suggests access to the solenoid. Could it be just behind the trunk right-side liner ? Did anyone ever take that liner off and notice the fuel door mechanism ?
