There real easy lights to get open (well 03-05's were) you should go read the DIY section on opening them up. That is the only somewhat difficult part, then you just take the projector apart and find a place to put some spacers or just bend the sheild and test with a 12volt supply (modified comp power supply works great) or just hook the projectors up to the car. When you find the amount of blue you like put it all back together. Would be worth it to paint the house black to, nothing is sexier than a 06 housing painted black!!! Will also reduce glare and give you a more deffined "projector" look.

The reason for a clear lenses is to get the flicker, you don’t need a clear lenses for color. You can actually get more visible color to drivers out of the fenzeled lenses (the altima for example) because the color is "spread out" by the rivets in the lenses.

But if you want the beauty of an S2000 flicker (anyone who has been in front of an s2000 knows what I mean) then you need the clear lenses, and IMO nothing is sexier than that flicker.

I had my friends 06 drive behind me and I didn’t notice much color at all, from a distance they seems to have more (don’t know why) but nothing up to what I want. FYI tho his was brand new so the bulbs had not "burned in" or "shifted."
Blurry cutoffs are so blah, I'll take less color and mor flicker any day of the week

I agree 100%.... but with the frenzled lense you stuck with blurr to some extent unless you do a clear lense swap. He seems more concerned with color than flicker also, bc 03-05 have no flicker

You should see these euro golf projectors I have, clear as hell cut off with AWESOME color un modded....... Ill post some pics when I get home. Only a 1.5" lense and 4.5" long, smallest HID projector I know of.

i have done a tl swap on a diff car before. took around 7 hours on each light. Swore to myself i will never do it again. These lights are too expensive to keep modding them. I'll take some pics once they are out of the body shop and maybe make a vid for those of you that wants to see how it looks.

Thanks hockey for you help.

That's one of the things I love about my 06' Z. The projection is so strong and clear. I had no idea these headlights cost that much. I'm feeling even more fortunate I purchased a brand new 06' MT! FTW!

Ya I have been on my current project for about oh..... 3 weeks LOL. My girl has an older saturn and I have been putting those Euro Golf projectors in them.

Got everything mounted an alined, but defluting the diffused lense has been the hugest pain in my a$$. I will never again in my life try to deflute a lense......... Cannot use a machine cuz it will cook the plastic, and I'm cheap.

The 03-05 Z housing is also very wierd shaped and very retro unfriendly. It will take heavy modification which is something I would like to avoid.

NP man, I always love to shoot the sh*t about lighting related things.

Cannot see pix at work........ will check it out when I get home. Any idea what the clear lense is from? Im pretty sure there is a 3" clear lense on a hallogen kia projector, remember hearing about it a while ago.

I use to lurk around HIDPlanet but have not been there in a long time. Just used them for there info and left lol Need to get back up on there and see whats new.

Color is nice on those! Here is some of the tiny golf euros cut off, un modded with the stock lense:

This pic is about 4 feet from the wall so you can imagine how big the blue band gets at 25+ feet. Need to get some far away pics, this little things have really impressed me for there size.
