IMO, I don't like the locking pins #2. Another key to carry around and lose. But other than that, they do look nice.

don't get the nrg locking hood pins i had them and they started to fade faster than my hood and when i tried changng them out to a different style i couldn't because of the circular pattern they left on my hood looked retarded. i wound up replacing them with new nrg locks again. .

I'd say Aerocatch or sparco, can't go wrong with either.

I say Sparco as I am planning to install a blue set on mine pretty soon. For the Guru's outhere, is there a trick on drilling to a Carbon Fiber Hood to prevent it from cracking?

Some says put a dab of toothpaste on top of the pins to get your mark.

Sparco are easiest to mount, Aerocatch are the hardest but nicest and I would stay away from the NRG ones. We had problems with a Supra that had them.

put newspaper over your engine to prevent fiberglass/carbon from getting in. its nasty. wear long sleeves and avoid contact with bareskin, else it's itchville for you.

for the bottom of the hood- mark top of hood pin with glitter glue/whiteout/grease pen and xfer the center point to the underside of the hood-
drill a pilot hole then use a 1" hole cutting bit. remember, the hood swings up so tthe hole you make will have to be large enough to accomodate for the swing-

remark the top of the hood pin again and then close the hood- drill a pilot hole on the bottom of the carbon layer. then go from the top and depending on the orientation of your hood pins, go with a progressively larger pit on high speed.

you might need to elongate the actual hood pin's opening due to the curvature of the hood and where the pin goes through.

repeat to other side and then do minor adjustments as necessary. its really simple. just dont rush it.

To add to what Cheston said, make sure you use a high speed drilling tool in order to lessen any chipping effects. I prefer a dremel for these types of installations.
