Yep, use a dremel and sharp bit to avoid cracking.

for the bottom of the hood- mark top of hood pin with glitter glue/whiteout/grease pen and xfer the center point to the underside of the hood-
drill a pilot hole then use a 1" hole cutting bit. remember, the hood swings up so tthe hole you make will have to be large enough to accomodate for the swing-

remark the top of the hood pin again and then close the hood- drill a pilot hole on the bottom of the carbon layer. then go from the top and depending on the orientation of your hood pins, go with a progressively larger pit on high speed.

you might need to elongate the actual hood pin's opening due to the curvature of the hood and where the pin goes through.

repeat to other side and then do minor adjustments as necessary. its really simple. just dont rush it.
Kewl. what about the screws for the sparco pins that cathces the pins, can I just drill this straight to the head or do I have to pre-drill it?

My vote goes for the Aerocatch flush latches. Same product as the one pictured, without the top secret JDM price.

i would opt to pre-drill small holes then use rivets instead of the screws if thats what you want to do..

or 3m double stick all weather tape it. - thats what i did..

Dremel all the way. If you stairstep your drill bits, you have a great risk if cracking or chipping. the dremel made all the work easy.

make sure your measurements account for both layers of the hood since it closes in an angular fashion...thats where I messed up. Also Hayame makes some gunmetal sparco clones that I bought that are pretty cool.
