Default Question about rubber trim maintenance (Silicon spray)

I have a quick question regarding this topic. I have a 2003 Z that is garage kept, low mileage, and rarely driven except on the weekends. Even though I take great care of this car I think the combination of the Texas heat and the fact that it's been almost 5 years since this car was put in service have started to take its toll on the rubber linings and trim. Will applying silicon spray prevent any further damage, cracking, or shrinking? If so what type would you guys recommend? Thanks in advance!

Silicone is the absolute worse thing you can apply to any rubber or vinyl parts on your car (tires too). Get the 303 Aerospace Protectant as there's nothing better.

Okay good to know since I have absolutely no idea about this stuff. Seems like 303 is the way to go. Thanks everybody.

I wonder if zaino tire gloss would work - it seems to be non-silicon-based?
