Default Nismo V1 Spoiler waterproofing?

When installing the V1 spoiler, is there any waterproofing that needs to be done to prevent water from getting under the base? If so, what do you use?
I think I remember reading someone using windshield sealant, but can't find any threads on it

You could lay a bead of silicone all the way around the base. My wing is a replica and doesn't fit all that flush on my hatch, so I just sealed around the bolts from the underside so no water could enter the hatch itself; it's not a big deal if water just gets under the wing (course my Z never sees rain or even a hose).

Thanks, I thought about silicone, but concerned silicone is a little messy

looks good, I'll have to get some. Did you just put it on the one edge, not all the way around?
