Installing side skirts myself?
Ok, so I bought some sideskirts (nismo replica's) off of a member here. I have NO experiance with body kits before, but being a locksmith, I work with a lot of hand tools/fabrication, and i'm definatly a DIYer, just not a ton of experiance.
My question is (and yeah, I tried searching, but didnt get much), is how do you generally install these?
What I did was take off the OEM side skirts, hold the new ones up, Match the holes to be drilled on the bottom and sides, and then drilled them. When I put it back on, I used a adhesive (Goop? said it was good with metal, paint, and fiberglass, and these sides were fiberglass) on the top where I couldnt use the OEM plastic pop on things. Becuase of the way its curved, though, I couldnt get the adhesive to bond except for on the edges, and it didnt hold.
On the bottom and sides, where the screws are, it feels really solid, but theres a bit of gap at the top where the kickplate thing is (not really noticable except to me), and I can move it a bit. I saw a DIY article about molding the body kit, and was just wondering, should I do that? I.E: should I take them back off, drill holes at the top, fill it with a LOT more adhesive, and then get it to stick solid and sand/paint over, or is what I did a typical install?
I'll try and get pics up tonight. I got a two tone look going, my car being silver with the sideskirts a gloss black (i painted them myself too).
Thanks for any help in advance, and if I can clarify anthing, let me know!

i wouldn't mold the side since you either you might want to take them off one day (IE, jacking up your car , etc) or getting in an accident and messing up the body.
To have it stick, use double sided auto body 3m tape.
You got it most down. Just line up the holes (only if it fits right), put new screws in.
