Default Custom spoiler ?????

So Im really looking for a certain look for my spoiler ... It is inspired by the caymen. I have yet to see a spoiler for the Z like this one pictured on the caymen below. So I thought of maybe taking the nismo spoiler (the closest too this one) and cutting the base off it between the two supports. The part that sits flush to the trunk. I just think that part kinda looks goofy and bulky. Im thinking it might look great without it there. Just cutting it off and sanding it smooth ??? No I dont want my Z to be a fake porsche but I do like taking certain styling cues for new ideas. Have any of you guys seen a spoiler in production already that looks similar to this ?

This obviously being the nismo spoiler.... here you can clearly see the middle part that im refering too.

In this post... looks like its comes as two seperate pieces, so I could simply use the top of the spoiler and make my own base ???

Well what do you guys think ?

I've seen a Z before with pretty much exactly what your looking for. It was basically the carbon fiber nismo spoiler but without the base. It just had the 2 posts coming down onto the hatch. I'm not sure who makes it.

Yup, Evo-R makes a wing exactly like you are describing; no need to re-invent the wheel.

That I did Thanks dood !!

The EVO-R is soooo close to what im looking for but I want the spoiler to come more off the back of the trunk. More-so where the trunk ends ... kind of like the caymen above. Thats was a perfect suggestion tho, thank you guys.

heres a link to my girls new father-in-laws project where he took the nismo and cut the base off. very detailed step by step details. posts #63, 64, & 65 are the first ones with pics of finished wing. these pics dont really do it any justice- it looks way better in person:

As much as I'm not a big wing fan, I have to admit that wing looks pretty darn good.

the price difference is due to the material in the wing itself.

$1400 = CF

$600 = FRP

functionality = same. however ur gonna need to paint it.

^ yes but the price of the FRP is actually $ 1,164.00 on bulletproof.com. So thats why Im glad I saw it on injected for $614.
