Default 06 Headlights

I had a few questions that I could not solve from my searching. First off is I see many 03 Z's have 06 headlights, do they fit fine or have to do some modification. Second, can I buy just the headlight housing without the ballast and HID's, but then the new one's have bi xenon headlights to where the 03's only the low beams in projection. Some one help me out please.
Thanks

The swap will depend if your 03-05 are HID already or not. If they are then it's plug and play with a little modification to some wires. Or you can leave them alone but the yellow will stay on at all times but still blink

I dont know anybody out there selling just 06 housings.

^^^ Not totally true, the harness plugs are different between the 06 and 05, I made my own so I can disconnect the HLs.

It is a straight swap with a bit of rewiring. One of the 06 HL connectors will not be used otherwise you will have the problem that many people seem to have on here which is lit blinkers. The low beam and high beams on the 06 is integrated together. When you click on the high beams the gate that keeps the light leveled opens up to let out more light.

Buy it complete, not just the housing.

I think it is a difference of 50 bucks or something if you order it without the HIDs. Sponsor of mynismo.com can give you more info on pricing but the difference is so insignificant that you might as well get the HIDs as well. The balasts housing is different I believe, not totally sure.

the 06s have much bigger light bulbs. size of the housing is the same, but you're better off, because I personally think the 06s lights just look better than the previous all around. I did my research on it, and have both lights in person to compare, the 06 lights power plugs have 7 pins on it, and the previous have 6 pins only. You'd end up with the blue wire from the 06 left over, everything else just match up in color. 1000 is a lot for headlights, but they're worth every penny. Amber LEDs that replace the orange strip, bigger and cleaner looking HID bulb, and true dual projectors.

Light output is amazing compared to pre-06 HLs. The entire road lights up compared to my 05s and has been worth every penny.

yes it's like remodelling for your car, gives it more updated look and probably a bit more resale value too...very very worth it.
