naw, they did however outlaw the engine driven rear fans that made the car suck down on the road like a vacuum though on the chaparrel, lol. that was about 30 years ago though.
Brabham also ran an F1 car w/a fan, banned after one race. Of course Gordan Murray designed it. They told everyone they were radiator fans, or something similar.
The skirts are somewhat akin to sliding skirts, also used in F1, I believe in the 70's and 80's. Banned because sometimes the skirts would get stuck in the up position and the car would lose a lot of downforce. Very dangerous.
I know it never got made because Voltex doesn't advertise it.
What i'm trying to find out is wether a vendor has an inside scoop on wether its still happening, and just delayed due to their WRX and S2000 projects.
Well, for anyone whos interested. I contacted Voltex, and they haven't got any plans for the near future to produce the widebody version of their kit.
They might consider it later on, but not at the moment.
