Shame on you for even thinking of that!!!! Do you know how many sports cars have to ADD a rear strut brace aftermarket...the Z is often envied with its engineered brace!

oh wait, did you just mean the plastic cladding? if so, hell yeah take that crap off. it rattles anyway.

you will gain some impressive space by doing that.

but if you think cutting out the bar will not result in huge structural problems, you do not understand chassis engineering very well... I was going to box it in actually.

that's not really true. if Nissan didn't insist on keeping the Z a hatchback, it would be a non issue and we would have not gotten a strut brace. strictly a necissity because of the platform design.

On the very serious side I would strongly erge you to get this thought out of your head. Only the engineers who designed the car know how important that strut bar is to the car and if you can cut it out. If you take it out there could be some extreme consequences in regards to the performance of your car and worse put your life in harms way. Its not even a debate. I'd like to see the few people that voted yes do it to their car first and telll you how it works out. I think the only possible solution is putting a roll cage in. Then you know your covered.

If you need shopping room buy a different car.

NO

Again, I guess acronyms are lost on some people.

GT_R, do those three letters ring a bell?

Also, how is removing a strut bar rice?
